Join us for a special, family-friendly morning at the USO as we welcome Fort Leonard Wood’s Commanding General, Major General Beck, for Canine & Command Storytime! He’ll be reading “The Great Danes: Big Dogs Living Large” by Shannon Scharkey — a heartwarming and playful story perfect for kids and dog-lovers alike.
After storytime, children will have the chance to “adopt” their very own plush furry friend to take home, and families can meet Major General Beck in person. USO Canines Apache and Maverick will also be on site for a fun and friendly meet-and-greet with the kids.
To add to the excitement, the first 15 families to register will receive a free copy of the book. Please be sure to register each family member who will attend so we can provide enough plush supplies for everyone. We look forward to sharing this joyful morning of stories, creativity, and canine companionship with you!
