Our military children are some of the most resilient in the world! We often say it takes a village to raise our children and with all the challenges military life can throw us, we can all think of an adult in our children’s lives, whether that is a neighbor, a teacher, an aunt or uncle that your child looks up to as their hero. This luncheon is all about giving your child a chance to pick their hero in their life and bring them to the USO for a catered luncheon from Vidie’s Catering to have their hero recognized.
Pre-Registration is required for this event. Each child can pick one hero to have recognized, or if all your children want to recognize the same person, that is okay as well. Space is limited to the children and those adults being recognized as heroes and the children’s parents due to this being a catered sit down event. When registering, please register your child, along with their hero and the parents attending. When registering their hero, please make sure to have the correct spelling of their name and put (HERO) within their name block so we gather the correct information.
Once you register, you will be able to swing by the USO anytime between April 4th - April 7th to pick up a special invitation that your child can present to their hero. If the hero being recognized needs post access, please email Kelly Brownfield at kbrownfield@uso.org so that we can arrange a pass for them. If you have any questions, please call the USO during our hours of operation at 573-329-2039.
Registration for this event starts on February 28, 2024.
